Architecture

I am an experienced M.Sc. Architect, registered in Hungary and BAFA certified Energy Advisor of the Berlin Architektenkammer (Chamber). With over 17 years of experience, I've worked in Hungary, Germany and Ireland.

Below is a short summary of architecture and construction related projects I worked on in the last couple of years.

• I worked in All service phases 1-8 of architecture - using the German terminology LP's 1-8: HOAI
  • inintial project evaluation, basic conceptual design
  • preliminary planning
  • design planning
  • building permit
  • implementation plannig execution planning, techincal details
  • tendering BoQ, BoM, specifications
  • contract awarding, proposal evaluation
  • construction supervision, site management
• I also represented my clients as Project manager in several cases, having the necessary experience and oversight of buider-owners' needs.
• Worked as Software Designer and Lead developer to automate architectural design, documentation, projectflow, versioning, scheduling and all sorts of complex calculations.

Project examples

Optimization and Automated solutions

When working on large project in cooperation with planning firms, I usually provide automated engineering services, such as:

• solving complex and repetitive task on planning or draft level
• actual static and geometric planning of building elements
• automated design using Optimization
• automated and version tracked scheduling
• parametric design

Automated solutions> and Optimization are implemented the following three ways:

• embedded into CAD or BIM systems, depending on clients' needs and resources
• as standalone desktop applications
• backend to webservices

Construction and Engineering

In cooperation with Markus Coelen Architekten LTD I was responsible for the design, plannig and construction of 7 shops at the Berlin Brandenburg International Airport - BER, buit in 2012. My activity consisted of design, application for building permits, execution plannig, civil engineering coordination, construction, project and site management.

Renovation and refit

In cooperaton with several Architect offices I mainly specialized in residential projects. These renovations included:

• structural refits of entire buildings while in use
• complete heating-, electrical-, piping reconstruction while occupied
• elevation, roof construction and staircase reconstruction
• adding elevators
• refit of all apartments to achieve high-end owner-occupied german standard

Structural design

In cooperation with Markus Coelen Architekten LTD I lead the planning and implementation of a steel-structured extension and industry hall rehabilitation. We turned an old water-power plant into a cafehouse and food court. + I was responsible for structural design, permissions, civil engineering and site management.

Project management

Acting on behalf of the owner or builder I managed several projects from the client's perspective.

Developments in Ireland

Working for AshlinColeman - later NoonanMoran architects in Dublin Ireland, I designed local residential and commercial developments up until permit level as the aforementioned Metro station.
